Emergency First Aid and CPR

January 7th, 2012 marked our second largest fundraising initiative to date: our St. John Ambulance Emergency First Aid with Level A CPR Training Course!  Veteran certified instructor Richard Martin donated his services for the day as 12 participants learned the ins and outs of adult CPR, emergency scene management, chocking techniques and more!  The flexibility offered by Richard allowed everyone to propose first aid situations and lead to some improvised first aid techniques including slings with coats and bandages with belts and gloves.

All the participants left satisfied and more confident in their abilities to handle emergency situations.  Thanks so much for everyone who registered and helped us raise almost $800 towards sending Dr. Kader and his assistant to Laos for our spay/neuter/vaccination drive!

We would also like to thank the Downtown YMCA for donating a room for our event and St. John Ambulance for donating the coarse materials.

      Hello Filip,
We are currently planning our next CPR and First Aid clinic. It will likely take place in February. We will try to contact you directly when the details are available, but the best way to find out will be to like us on facebook (www.facebook.com/PetAwarenessInLaos) or follow us on twitter @petawarelaos.
